Offshore Wind Power Systems
of Texas llc
Offshore Wind Power Systems of Texas LLC. The company was formed to leverage learnings
of oilfield technology and knowledge gained over the last 30 years. This, combined with
extensive knowledge of energy projects in US, Asia and Europe, as well as presences there
will allow the company to pursue opportunities in the development of a business element for
offshore wind farms. Wind turbine foundations using piles driven into the ocean floor have
been used to support wind turbines in shallow waters but these structures present many
challenges as water depth increases. The Titan Wind Turbine Platform was created to
economically support a single wind turbine in water depths greater than six fathoms (48 feet
to 200 feet). By using proven methods for designing jack-up drilling rigs and utilizing the newly
patented Titan Wind Turbine Platform, (US Pat. 7163355 “Mobile Wind-Driven Electric
Generating Systems and Methods”), was designed to solve the deepwater dilemma.
